November 12, 1989 - FMLN offensive in San Salvador's Zacamil area. (warning: adults only - violence)

November 29?, 1989 - Sheraton incident in which the US entered into direct negotiations with the FMLN guerrillas over some Delta Force troops who had picked the wrong hotel to stay in. This ended peacefully with no casualties thanks to Chico Chicón and his ERP/FMLN unit, Peter Romero of the State Department, the Archbishop's office, and the tranquility of both the Delta Force troops and Salvadoran Army troops who had surrounded the Hotel.
