Motion picture films -

The National Archives holds thousands of motion picture films, many of them royalty-free.  These films come in several formats -- 16 and 35 mm film, Beta and VHS tapes. I can record any of these media to Mini-DV format, using a recorder which copies both the moving images and sound (if there is any).

While I am searching through records, I can use a smart phone camera to copy segments of films and then email them to the client in real time.  These digital videos are not designed to be used as a final product; rather they can be used to vector in on the correct scenes or films.

Rates:

I charge $290.00 per day.  If the work requires additional time at home, this will have to be negotiated.  All copying media, such as Mini-DVs are paid for by the client.
